welcome to visuallyill.com; the portfolio, file dump, script testing location for brandt solovij. this site has been around for a while, and strangely enough, it has always served the purpose of being an online portfolio for myself, brandt solovij.
the site has seen many phases, some rudimentry, some quite dynamic with several php and java apps and games. visually ill is entering a new phase, which oddly enough probably sounds like a common new year's resolution : slimming down.
i've decided to take a much more subtle approach to the site this time around. previous versions we might have remembered were laden with bells here and whistles there. nifty tech article link abound and steaming fresh new illustrations always being added. flash buttons, flash animations, flash flash flash. flash is one element which is abscent from this site (for the time being at least).
true to proper form, allow me to begin my first tech rant of the year..
flush: how 99% of current flash fails.
flash is such a great technology. it allows end users experiences only dreamed about 20 years ago, when those of us
that actually new what a modem was, were connecting via tenet or xmodem to our local bbs', waiting patiently inline to
dial into the bbs as soon as our counterparts logged off. Ah the glory old days of single node servers.
to be continued....
